Was the shop entirely sanitary? Definitely not, but there were two cats there so I figured I had picked the right place to get my first tattoo abroad. I think the sanitation standards are a bit different in Korea than they are in the United States. All's well that ends well, though. It didn't turn out like that scene from Bridesmaids where Rebel Wilson gets the tattoo from a guy in his van and it gets horribly infected. (He said,"It's for freeee." And I said, "Sure.") No frozen peas necessary.
I've wanted this tattoo for a few years now, so I figured that it was finally time to get it. I like the paper airplane design because it reminds me to travel through life with a childlike heart.
And yes, it hurt.
